How much is TOO much power for the 700R4?

Car: 1987 Iroc Z
Engine: 5.7L TPI
Transmission: Auto
How much is TOO much power for the 700R4?
I am adding about 100 horsepower to my engine this month (various things), and i need to know if my tranny will be fine. It is totally stock 700R4 and the total power my engine will make is about 350 at the motor. Also, why do my shifts seem to get mushy as my car warms up? Is that weird or what.

It can handle that level of power but you will want to install a TransGo Reprogramming Kit to keep it alive. A TruCool Cooler (B&M is the same) will also help allot.
