What parts do I need for a th200 to th2004r swap
Hey guys I've got a 82 z28 that im wanting to swap the th200 that's in it to a th2004r. I'm going to take it in a to a shop to get put in, but the guy said I'll need to provide any parts that will need to be added. He said he'll do line modification if it needs it, but that if I need a new crossarm or drop down cable I'll have to provide it. I need to know what I'll need to take him. Thanks!

I edited this from th350 to th200 because I went and looked and apparently I've still got the old th200 and not the th350 like I thought.

So from what I've seen I will just need a crossarm with a torque converter mount. Someone said that the cross member and torque converter mount for the th400 will work. Can anyone confirm this?

The torque arm is stamped steel and the rear of it bolts to the rear differential center housing. The front is held by a rubber bushing on your TH200-C. Get underneath and look at it.
The 200-4R didn't have a torque arm bushing provision. Also, the trans. mount is further back, in a location that doesn't match any other third gen. transmission. So the aftermarket crossmember and torque arm mount solves that. Yes, the TH400 mount location matches the 200-4R. I believe the 1982 crossmember bolt locations in the floor are different than later years, so make sure the crossmember you choose is compatible, or your guy knows how to make it work.
The driveshaft can be re-used.
The speedometer cable can be re-used.
The torque converter can be re-used.
The TV cable can be re-used.
All bolts can be re-used.
For the shifter, you may want to go with an 83-92 shifter and cable (and console top plate) to get full shift range of motion (park through 1st gear instead of park through 2nd.) The 700-R4 shifter cable bracket bolts right to the 200-4R.
Enjoy the overdrive in your Z28.
