Engine: 350 tpi
Transmission: 5 speed std
Axle/Gears: 3:73
swapped 5.0L for 5.7L
I have a 1987 IROC-Z currently with a 5.0L and T-5 manual tranny. I am putting on a 5.7L next week. I have the prom etc from the 5.7L. Question is...will the prom work with the 5 speed manual Trans? I know the 5.7L did not come with the manual Trans.

It will "work" as-is; whether it will be "ideal", or whether that automatically implies "need", is another matter entirely.

If the PROM (MEMCAL actually) is from an '87 - '89 it will work. If it is from a '90 - '92 it won't work, different ECM.
