GM or B&M 2000 stall?

I'm leaning towards the GM stall just 'cause it's a factory unit. I wanted your opinions before I blow the much saved $220. They're the same price, just a matter of which one.

I've used the GM and it is a fine piece. I would use that.

I'd use just about anything before I'd put a B&M part on my car.

I'm with transfixleo on this one (no comparison) if this what you want, then GM all the way (I can't believe I said that). B&M has no quality control on their TC's, and the last I heard their comeback rate was near 40% (this is not a joke). Personally I do not like 12" TC's, but I would go for a higher stall from GM (Corvette for example), as I do not think you will notice any difference, unless your stall is only around 1,500 rpm now.

Right now my stall is like 1100 RPM or something stupid like that. Just after I posted this I was on B&M's website. Their application chart said you could not tow with their 2000 stall. What a bunch of crap. So I got my GM part number out and called the dealer. I can't imagine GM would put this converter in the S-10 and then say you can't tow with it. They say this stalls at 2000 RPM on the 4.3. The guy I got the PN from said it stalled at 2100 in his stock Impala SS.

Remember that in an S-10 it will have lower rear end gears which in turn will allow for the higher stall W/O the problems that a high geared car would have. If you have, let's say, 3.42 gears you will be fine.

Go with the GM converter. I have the Corvette TC in my GTA and like it a lot. It made a noticeable improvement.
