86 Trans Am Auto to manual transmission swap
Howdy folks, Reborn here looking for some advice.
So, as the title says, I'm considering swapping out my TH-350 for a manual transmission. I can get a working Super T-10 locally for a decent price, but before making the decision, I wanted to know if any of you folks have swapped a T-10 into your auto Third gens. If any of you have, how difficult was the swap to do, and what needed to be replaced/modified to make it fit?
The car currently has a 305 in it, but I'm going to be pulling it out in a month or so and replacing it with a 4 bolt main 350. The ECM and all of that crap has already been eliminated off of the car.
Thanks in advance for your help folks!

You need to make provisions for the torque arm. There are a few threads about it the general consensus is there are newer and better options.
You will need a new flywheel, clutch, pedals, hydraulics or cable assembly along with the supporting parts. You may need a custom drive shaft depending on lengths and shaft spline counts.

I would recommend if possible to get a t5 bellhousing and tailshaft from an fbody. I heard someone complain somewhere that they didn't get the angled one and it wasn't pleasant. But I don't know jack about t10's so I dunno if that's possible.
I did the swap from a 700 to a t5, and I love it.
The worst part for me was swapping pedals. Laying backwards on my seat with my head under the dash was NOT fun.
Good luck.
