T5 to 700r4 swap. Neutral safety and reverse
Hey guys. Just a quick question. I'll be swapping in a 700r4 soon I have already removed my v6 and t5. I also just removed the clutch reservoir. But the hose that ran to the trans with wires wrapped around it and a electrical connector on the end. What is the hose for? I won't need that on my 700r4 right? And as far as the wiring im trying to delete as much as possible but don't want to remove this part of the harness yet bc im afraid that it is for the neutral safety and reverse lights. Am I correct? And if so can anyone tell my how to go about hooking up the neutral safety and reverse lights to my 700r4. Thank you all so much.

Are you talking about the hydraulic hose from the clutch master/slave? Shouldn't be wires wrapped around it... Wiring to a T5 would be reverse lights, and in some years you might have a fifth gear switch for a "shift" idiot light, or the VSS on cars without a speedometer cable.
Your NSS wiring and reverse lights need to be wired to the auto shifter. The 5spd cars get the NSS at the clutch pedal switch.
