Where Do You Buy Auto Trans Parts

So I rebuilt my trans last spring using Dana's Street/Strip kit. Unfortunately, my TV valve got stuck shortly after. While that was quickly remedied, we all know how sensitive the 700r4 is to TV issues and the damage was already done. My 3-4 clutch pack starting slipping considerably by the end of the season. So now I have to replace those again. I have tried calling Dana twice, leaving messages both times, but it has been a week and no return call.
This in NO WAY is a bash on that man, he is a true genius and an amazing asset to this board. I know that he stays busy, and I've communicated enough with him last year to understand he usually can be busy enough that it will take him a few days to get back, but this is longer than that and I'm in a time crunch.
I don't have time to repair this myself and I have a time-sensitive arrangement for someone to re-clutch this transmission for me. I'm running out of time and while I want to buy the parts from Dana I am going to have to try to build his recipe with parts from somewhere else if I don't hear from him in the next day or so. I checked out Whatever It Takes Transmission, but they don't list 0.080" Kolene Steels or 0.128" pressure plates that Dana uses (https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/prod...&cat=52&page=1)
Where else can I find transmission parts, particularly .080 steels and a .128 pressure plate?
Also, if anyone's got the inside scoop on Dana, feel free to PM me. I hope he's alright and just staying super busy! He really is a great guy. Like I said, this isn't meant to bash him in any way, I'm just in a time crunch because the person that's going to do this re-clutch for me is only available in a small timeframe and if I can't get it done on his schedule then I may not get to drive my car this summer because I'm just to busy this year to fix it myself.

Re: Where Do You Buy Auto Trans Parts

When I FUBAR'ed some frictions when installing a Pro-Built kit in my 4L60E, or needed replacement parts that weren't included in the kit, I bought individual replacement parts from here:

http://www.makcotransmissionparts.com/storefront.html

I bought solenoids, replacement frictions (exact ones to replace the ones I FUBAR'ed), and a stock replacement torque converter.

Fast shipping, no hassles.

Edit: I bought my transmission cooler from these guys.

http://www.bulkpart.com/

I think they're the same guys as Makco.

Re: Where Do You Buy Auto Trans Parts

Thanks. I checked out their site, but lucky for me Dana gave me a call tonight and I've got the right parts coming from the best transmission guy on here!

For anyone looking for transmission parts, you'll always be satisfied working with Dana from Pro-Built!

Re: Where Do You Buy Auto Trans Parts

Local transtar is where I got most of my parts.

The website above, mako will send you parts directly from transtar.

I found it best to download the catalog from transtar's website, and then use the part numbers when searching on the mako site.

I also like to make a nice part number list when visiting my local transtar location.
