I am installing a 700r4 tranny with an electrical vss on my 85 camaro with a speedo cable. Do i need to remove the entire tailshaft housing to swap vss housing and gear or only have to remove the speedo housing to change with one for a c ble driven vss?

 

Does the new tailshaft have the provision for the torque arm? If not you will need to swap anyway. I think you can remove the electric speed sensor and swap over to the cable drive if you have the right parts.
