Steering column swap

My boss lifted himself into my car, 1984 z28, by pulling himself into it by the steering wheel while it was on the lift. He broke my steering column, and I can't find a new one anywhere. I did find a 94 camero steering column, can I use That? Will it align? Thanks

Re: Steering column swap

The underhood end is 90 degrees off.
You would have to see if the wiring matches up.
The wiper wiring will be different.

It's best to fix yours.

Re: Steering column swap

I'll second JMD here , either repair your column or get one from a closer year car . As these things went through the years all kinds of wiring changes were made and a 94 column is in no way gonna be "plug & play" into your 84 .

I hope the boss is at least splitting the cost of the repair ?
