Hey guys,
I have a 1992 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7 v8 and a 700R4 transmission. I'm having some trouble with some late shifts but it seems to be inconsistent. When it shifting fine it shift out of first at about 15 miles an hour but it starts to get worse. It will shift fine for a day or two and then it won't shift out of 1st until about 25 miles an hour and then I will get really bad and not shift out of first until 35 miles an hour. When it shifting bad seems like all the shifts are late and even won't shift into 4th gear until about 65 when is it when it's not shifting out of first until 35. But then for no reason it will fix itself and be fine for a day or two. My truck sat for about a year-and-a-half and I'm sure that has something to do with the issues. I've changed the fluid and the filter and I've swapped out the governor. When it comes to Transmissions I am Clueless. Any help will be greatly appreciated
