T5 tailshaft leak
I have a T5 out of an 84' Camaro (Non WC) that I plan on putting into my Trans Am this weekend. I sealed the transmission up, and filled it up with fluid. it was tilted backward so fluid started gushing out of the driveshaft cavity in the tailshaft housing. I looked inside and it appears there is no seal, or at least I can't see one. Is the driveshaft itself responsible for interfacing with the seal at the very back end of the tailshaft housing? There is a seal there, but I'm wondering if there should be another one between the tailshaft and the rest of the tranny.

Pretty normal yoke, seal, etc. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8zYcBpP9xU
The yoke may have a plug tapped in the middle under the u-joint.

If the driveshaft wasn't installed then yes fluid is going to come out the tail shaft. The only seal I know of it the one the goes around the yoke when its installed.

Yyup what they said is true also it may help to know that you can fill it easy through the shifter hole before it is installed.

Thanks guys! I thought I was missing a seal and would have to pull the whole thing apart again, phew.
