Re: Wrong u joints for 1Le driveshaft

My info shows 1988-93 camaro/firebird.... All with alum. driveshaft.

Neapco 3-3130 std.,3-3130BF HD or 3-0544BF HD premium alumiguard rear
Neapco 1-0153 std., or 1-0626BF HD front

3-3130 is a conversion U joint that puts a 3RN Joint to a 1310 Joint
So it should be two diff sizes.
One side of the joint will have 1.063" bearing caps (the 1310 side) with a 3.219" outside lock span.
The other side of joint will have 1.125" bearing caps (the 3RN side) with a 2.556" inside lock span.

My factory 89 350 TPI had a steel shaft.

Come to think of it, my brothers 93 LT1 TransAm had a steel shaft too.

Soar,
It would help if you listed the part number you were given, along with the manufacturer.

Rock Auto shows no ACDELCO part number for the Axle Joint. Shows loads of other manufacturers though.

For example,
SKF Part # UJ372
Rear Joint; w/ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT; Base Model

or

GMB Part # 2400356
Rear Shaft Rear Joint; Grade Standard; Lubrication Type Grease Fitting in Cross; Aluminum Driveshaft

or

NEAPCO Part # 33130
REAR SHAFT REAR JOINT - STD - w/ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT; Base Model

Re: Wrong u joints for 1Le driveshaft

I posted what you need..

Yes the moog 372c is the correct one.

Your 369 is a straight 1310 U joint..

You need a 1310 to 3R (also known as S44) conversion joint.

The driveshaft uses a 3RN and the 9 bolt pinion yoke is a 1310.

Here you go... These are all the correct part #s for what you need.
PRECISION/MOOG 372C
CARQUEST 3-3130G
NEAPCO 3-3130 std.,3-3130BF HD or 3-0544BF alumiguard
McQuay-Norris U544U
GM 10147926
ACDelco 45U0406
CARQUEST 30544G
