hello everyone, i just finished up my pcm upgrade, and took the car to my tuner and he cant finish my tune because the car will not shift. The only gears it will go in is 3rd and reverse, and when its in gear it doesnt want to come out. prior to the pcm upgrade the car had its stock tpi set up with this t56 in it it drove and shifted fine. It took about a year and a half to get everything done now it has a holley stealth ram ls1 pcm and coils. In that time i changed the clutch while everything was apart, that was the only transmission related thing i did. I picked up the car from him yesterday and i dont know where to start. He seems to seems to think its the transmission, i have never heard of a standard trans going bad from sitting please help!

 

Is the lockout connected up to the pcm or has it been bypassed?

 

Its connected to the pcm but it has a softer spring in it

 

If it was fine before the pcm upgrade. Then try a lockout bypass and see if it works.

 

Skip shift solenoid was the issue, unplugged it and its good now
