308's - 341's
hello everybody I have a 85 firebird here with a 10 bolt and 308's I also have a carrier and gears on my bench for 341's I thought this was going to be relatively easy but here I am, the stock axles are retained on the ends by the backing plate bolts and the axles for the 3:41s are retained by c clips in the diff. and the ring gears wont interchange because of the size difference. can the axle ends accept the other style bearings and seals? thanks

Re: 308's - 341's
The short answer is no. The longer answer is that the 3:41 gears and carrier are not for a 7.5 or 7.625 10 bolt rear end.

There are no 3.41 gears. Gears are always a ratio of 2 whole numbers; 3.41 is not such a number.
You might however have 3.42 gears. Those are 12 on the pinion and 41 on the ring.
The answer is simply no. Sounds like you REALLY have a 3.08 9-bolt, not 10-bolt, rear, and a set of 10-bolt 3.42 gears. 2 completely different models of rear axle. Internally, I don't think a single part interchanges, not even a bolt, even though externally they are the same.
