Car: 86 Imponte Ruiner 450GT, 91 Formula
Engine: 350 Vortec, FIRST TPI, 325 RWHP
Transmission: 700R4 3000 stall.
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt Torsen 3.70
Energy Suspension torque arm mount install

I got it done without removing the bracket from the back of the trans - see pics. You need to supoort the rear axle to get it lined back up. I threw some paint on the brackets after grinding off the rivets.




Old insert rubber was pretty hosed



Finished install.



Support the rear axle or you'll never get it lined up.



Always paint bare metal.



After sanding off the rivet head. Used a cold chisel to part the insert from the bracket.







Air powered belt sander makes short work of the rivet heads.
