I have a 1985 camaro z28 with the carbed 305 LG4.

I put a 700r4 in it to find out the pump wasn't pumping. I swapped it out with another and all seemed well. It was fine for a week or two. It's a project so I only drove it up and dow. The street while I make adjustments and what not. But it was fine.

Until one day I drive it up and down the street. Park it. 10 minutes later I go to drive again back yo fo turn around, and then when I shift into drive I get nothing. I have no forward gears. All of a sudden. Reverse seems okay all though it takes a little longer to engage.

What do you guys think my issue is? I have read plenty of things with various similar issues. But not like mine.

I pulled the trans out already to make any diagnosing little easier if I have to work on it.
