Engine: 305 5.0 V8 carburated
Transmission: 700r4
700r4 hard engagement and shifting?
My 85 z28 has some problems with the 700r4. When I shift into drive or reverse from park it shifts HARD. Way too hard.
When I drive it, unless I'm at wide open throttle, It takes forever to shift gears but when it does, it's really hard.
I checked the governor and it moves freely. I replaced the TV cable with an ac delco replacement from the dealer and adjusted it correctly. Still does the same. Help!! I'm worried about ruining my transmission because they seem to be easy to burn up.
