Steering Column shaking
so my steering wheel is secure but the column shakes a lot when I shake it, more than it should for sure. My advance auto shop thinks it’s the column coupling, what do you think?

Re: Steering Column shaking
Tilt screws. Many many articles on here describing how to repair it.
2 types of steering column faults, loose tooth feeling is when the tilt mechanism bolts get loose or fall out. Not that difficult to do, but have to go pretty deep into the column, more common on non-airbag wheels.
Or wheel can be pulled to the 7 O'clock position, but still has spring tension, caused by worn tilt pins, more common on airbag wheels. Same thing, have to go into the column, but not as deep, and the best fix I've used was some over-sized pins.
