Transmission linkage plastic grommet

Hey guys. My 700r4 transmission linkage keeps popping off at the transmission shift arm. I’m googling and YouTubing what the name of the part is and it’s just saying bushing, but it’s a slide in clip castle looking piece. Any help is appreciated. I have it zip tied in but doesn’t last. Thanks Randy

Re: Transmission linkage plastic grommet

Is the stud on the shift cable where it goes through the shift lever threaded? If so it likely takes a nut to secure it. If there is just a single groove then a clip was used. Can get a random pack of clips on the Help rack.

RBob.

Sounds like you need a new shifter cable. The stud isn't supposed to snap on/off.
