There's a step-by step tech article on the website in the tech/faq section.

But the long and short of the swap is pretty logical. Remove the 700R4, remove the pedals, mount the new pedals, mount the master cyllinder, and install the tranny.

You may be surprised (as I was) to discover your starter is too large to fit the bell housing of the T5. The bolts were about .25" too long as well. If you have a hatch release solenoid you need to relocate the ground wire coming from the switch (white/blk) from the gear selector to the parking brake. Otherwise you'll have to push on the clutch to pop the hatch. The large purple wire relocates from the Neutral Safety Switch on the gear selector to the clutch switch. It needs to be lenghtened by about 18". The old style clutch pedal assy won't work with the new style hush panel. There are 4 versions of lower boot that mounts to the tunnel 1406116 was for 83, 14069408 (84-86), 14044409 (86-90) & 14105644 (91-92). Use the lower boot as the template for cutting the hole. Mark around it, then space the cut line inside that line by about 3/4". There is a cutout in the carpeting insulation that will act as a guide for where to make the hole for the clutch actuation rod. Use a 2" hole saw. Lon

Oh yeah, I forgot about the bolts & starter. My stupid po-dunk dealership had to order them and I waited a week.

Sorry bad info. It's the tan/wht wire that needs to be relocated.

Getting new bolts was easier for me, I just went out to my personal Pick-A-Part (the 88 Iroc parts car on my back patio). I had to run out to Kragen at the last minute for a new starter though. The aftermarket mini-starters will work for both auto or T5 applications.
