700R4 rebuild

Hello everyone.
Alright so I'm ready to send out my unit for a rebuild I called the two shops local to me in California. And this post isn't to trash the shops or anything I want to get work done at both but I only need one transmission. So I called Toy shop transmission. Super nice guy very knowledgeable but his prices are 1500 bucks for his standard trans builds them for crate 350s so around 400 hp. But I told him I wanted to get around 500 in a street car with a turbocharger and that I also wanted to not worry about the trans anymore. Jumped to 2000 bucks. I told him I had a trans go 2&3 kit laying around but he said he doesn't use those for his transmissions. I figured that kit was the bees knees. Which is fine. But I wonder what He's doing to the valve body if He's not using this kit? 2Nd shop is called RPM solutions he is charging me about 1500 for a performance rebuild and can use my parts I have. So prices are the same guys both knowledgeable but what's going on with the parts used in the 1st guys trans? He make up his own kits? I want a hard shifting no nonsense 700r4 I wonder what's happening in that trans. Any ideas id suggestions on what shop to go to?

They are still around? I haven't seen any current website links or phone numbers. Read that pro built slowed down?

Hey! Lol I did send a email! Only reason I asked around shops was because I didn't know pro built was still pushing out units. But I'm really happy I get to get my hands on a pro built.
