350 TPI shifting issue
350 TPI shifting issue! I have a stock 89 Iroc with 350 TPI. When driving at any speed (say 30 mph) and I mash the gas, the car does pick up speed but it doesn’t seem to go into a high RPM passing gear. Should it kick me in the pants a bit or is that normal?

It should downshift.
You may want to reset your TV cable. A badly set TV cable can burn up a transmission fast.
