1995 4l60e conversion to 1997 4l60e

I have a 1995 4l60 out of a v6 c1500. Can i turn that 1995 v6 into a 1997. I have a 1997 one piece that has a broken case for parts. I read most of the intervals are the same expect for wiring??

Re: 1995 4l60e conversion to 1997 4l60e

In 98 they changed the bell housing style on the 4l60's. Before 98 they're all the same as the 700R4 from 83-92 and then 4l60e 93-97. In 98+ they went to a different "LS" style bell housing.

---Edit

I just comprehended this is for a v6...

you also might want to try over on performancetrucks.net. They might know better.
