My 3rd gen z28 1984 mode with th400-r4 leek transmisdion oil true the seal on the gear shaft seal
how to idenfify the correct part i need,
i assume i have to drain all the oil .
i then will replce .
seal on shiftet shaft
outgoing shaft from tramsmission
and spesial tools for these jobs.
please help me out.
i do live i Norway andthere is no workshop for these car in my region.

Look for a shift shaft seal tool. It will help you change the seal without transmission disassembly.
I usually remove the pan and remove the manual shaft to replace the seal. Once the shaft is out of the way, I pry the seal out and use a socket and hammer to install the new seal into the case. The attachment shows the procedure.
Here's a link to some seal part numbers. Hopefully, you can buy these in Norway. Buy a few of them in case you happen to damage on during installation:

Here's an example of a tool that's made to replace the seal without having to drop the pan. I've never use such a tool::
