Engine: 5.0 LG4
Transmission: 200C
Axle/Gears: 2.73 open diff
TH200C adjust kickdown cable

I can’t find anything anywhere about how to do it, found the cable but there’s no adjustment mechanism that I can see... Can anybody help?

Your 1982 will have the same cable as the Quadrajet applications with 200-4R and 700-R4 through 1987.

Got this from my tran guy. There are other ways but unless you have xray vision, you need to see where the plunger is. It also will confirm if your geometry is correct based on how far the plunger moves.

i have to remove the pan? I thought there was something I could adjust externally for tension. This will be a lot more work than I thought. The trans doesn’t always shift down like it should, and tries to pull 3rd at low speeds
