B&M Starshifter with 4L80E

I know the ratchet shifting won't work because it's for a 3 speed but if I left it in auto will it work? Looking to do a swap and I have it here already.

I would call tech support and ask. Says it won't fit 700r4 or 200r4 so it may not pull the cable far enough. Best bet is to call tech.
