Pulsating backup light. T56 transmission

Any of you have this problem?
Sometimes the backup light works perfect, Sometimes it pulsates/blink.
T56 transmission in a custom car.
Everything else works perfect,
No electric wiring problems as well.
At first I thought is was because the reverse wasn't 100% in gear, but that's not the case.

Re: Pulsating backup light. T56 transmission

FYI, here's a tip I received on another forum:

The switches are robust. But overtime the rubbing against them to activate them wears them down to where the contact is barly touching and you get that flicker of that switch just barely being pushed enough. Lucky for you yours is easy to get to.

Pull the electrical connection off carefully, remove the switch and plug the connector in. Turn the key to the acc position then press on the plunger on the switch. Your reverse lights will light up and should hold steady. If they do, slap the old switch in, go down and buy a new switch. If they flicker your switch is good and you have a ground or connection issue.
I would look at the grounds then the bulb connections after the switch.
