Since I’m backtracked a for little bit until some parts come in and I have the pump out. I was thinking about throwing a Sonnax boost valve in. The part number is 700R4-LB1. It seems that it is a mild valve
I started with a very good shape pump housing in which I used a new kit to rebuild the internals(slide, rotor, vanes). I also verified the dimensions were near perfect and the pump. I just don’t want to run into any low pressure problems and it’s near impossible to install with transmission in the car. I’m going with my stock rotor and vane clearances and don’t want to stress anything.
Here is a picture of the valve. I don’t know if it is .500 in measurement. Where would I measure to find the value of .500 inches. I guess the o rings help prevent leaks as well as they have a low reverse version also with o rings
The factory version is ..422". The intermediate is .472" and the largest is .500". The O.D. of the internal piston is what's measured.
IIRC, some are available with O-rings.
