Q about changing backup light switch. T56
Hi
Do I have to drain the oil in order to change the backup light switch on a B&W T56 transmission?

Not likely. As long as it's above the fill plug (drivers side) you should be good. I can measure it up tomorrow if you need to make sure.

Fluid level approximately 4in from bottom of trans. This switch is about 6in up. A little dribble is all I would expect.

No.
Lift that side of the vehicle. Change out the switch. Done.
