Torque converter won't spin

I installed a new converter, and it spins freely for probably 3/4 of the rotation, then it gets stiff. Once it goes past the other 1/4 turn of being stiff, it spins freely again. Anybody got any ideas? I tried to reinstall it, and it does the same thing.

Re: Torque converter won't spin

Probably just fine. If you can spin it, the engine won't have any trouble. Probably just binding in the bushing a little bit, which will loosen up quickly.

That's about what I figured. They whole tranny got refreshed, so I figured the bushings would be a little tight.
