Anyone actually setup a GM T5 for Z-spec bearing?
Anyone actually setup a GM T5 for Z-spec bearing?
Bought a craigslist WC T5. It has a badly chewed up main shaft nose and input shaft needle bearing pocket. Both are basically throw away.
My question is, has anyone really done the grinding on the input shaft successfully to take the Z-spec / Cobra tapered bearing or is it all theoretical at this point? Doubtful any Mustang owner would try the grinding on the input since they can buy the correct shaft. The main shaft alteration seems pretty straight forward.

I talked to G Force about that and they declined to be involved, too costly.
