2007 dodge caliber altenator replaced now belt doesn't spin but squeals and wont star

I had athe altenator replaced. And everything back in place and bolted down. Now when i try to start my car it will turn over but the serpentine belt tries to move on pulleys but then starts squealing and doesnt start. Any advice on how to fix this problem without having to buy another belt....ive checked and nothing is locked up and will turn by hand. Someone please help me.

Hi Angelar312 , this is a forum dedicated exclusively to 1982 through 1992 Chevy Camaro / Pontiac Firebird cars only , and it's not likely anyone here is gonna know specifics about your Dodge Caliber .

So , my best advice to you would be to find a Mopar forum to ask your question . Now as a generic guess , since you say your sure all the pulleys turn , could you possibly have the belt routed wrong ?
