hi.im randy.im new to the site so I hope this is in the right place.i recently put new allstar 410 gears in my 10 bolt trans am rear end.it seems impossible to get the pattern centered.the drive side is towards the toe and takes about 1/3 of the tooth.but the coast side barely makes contact with the toe.i started with no shims in the pinion and worked my way up to almost all of them and can't get the coast side to barely move.it looked not to bad with marking paint.they looked a little low.so I took it for a short drive..it was quite loud.any input would be awesome.

 

4th gen? (93 - 97 specifically) Richmond drag-race gears?

 

From what I can make out in the photos...
The pinion depth is too far inward towards the ring-gear.
Start by reducing the pinion depth.
