Hi All:

Hope all well with everyone. I am looking for a Speedometer Part for attaches to a 700R4 Transmission. My Mechanic calls it a Speedometer Gear Sleeve. The Gear is Green and has 42 Teeth. My 85 Trans has a 5.0 Liter and the 700R4 Transmission was replaced about 15 Years ago with a GM Crate 700R4 Transmission. The OEM 700R4 had a Cracked Case.
Recently had the Speedometer Cable Replaced, Original one was worn out and after 184K, was time to be replaced. This Speedometer Gear Sleeve has a shorter neck than the Original 700R4 part. The OEM 700R4 Speedometer Gear Sleeve has a longer neck portion. I guess GM changed the Speedometer Gear Sleeve for the Crate Transmission and cannot find a Replacement.

I have enclosed some pictures of the part I am seeking, the Top Portion has cracked off, it extends up a little further. I still have the Part on the 85 Trans Am, but it Leaks Transmission Fluid, not a real lot, but I see small red spots every time I go out. Would like to get this fixed before winter. No GM Part Number is listed on it, so no idea how to search for it. If there are any Transmission 3RD Gen guys out there would know what this part is, would really appreciate any help.

Let me know if anyone has a part like in the pictures.
