hi i was woundering what size rear end do i have. i have an 82 camaro z28 with the stock 10 bolt rear end. i was askin becuz when i get money for this im hopin to get the entire center section like ring&pinion and posi and the thing that holds all that. ill be gettin it from englishtown when the spring swap meet comes around. so if anyone could help im clueless right now. thanx

 

It probably has a 2.93 or a 3.08. I have and 82 LU5 V8 with Turbo 350 automatic. It came with a 2.93 rearend. I recently converted to a 3.42. It turns about 2500 rpm at 60 mph. I'm getting ready to put in a T5. I'm looking forward to the overdrive.

It's a 7.5" rear but the 7 5/8 and the 7.5 have interchangeable parts. 7 5/8 rears didn't come in till later, i.e. IROC.

 

okay now im happy that i know i got a 7.5 becuz that question has been driving me nuts. thanx for ur help
