Transmission Dust Cover or Flywheel Cover.
I am wondering is there anybody out there with a good knowledge of the early Firebird Transmissions. I have a 1982 with a 2.8L V6 engine. It is all original.
The one thing I am missing and have been looking for ages for is the Dust cover or flywheel cover. It originally was an Aluminum one that was fitted. Correct me if I am
wrong but in 1982 I think the transmission used on all cars was the TH200c, A three speed with no overdrive. This is what is in my car. In 83 the transmission was changed to a 700 R4 as
far as I know or maybe a th350.
I know this is a long shot but could anyone remember if the 82 th200c transmission aluminum dust cover was the same on all models in 82.
The reason I ask is that I found a seller with a cover off an 83 V6 who claims it will fit all models but I am not so sure that it will.
Thanks.
