converting 3.08 gears to 3.73 gears

hey guys i have a pretty highly modified chevy 305 fully redone top end with comp k12-210 cam and all the works carb intake manifold and a bunch of other fun stuff, i was wondering if it would be worth converting my stock 3.08 gears to a much higher 3.73 gears, how would the acceleration and 0-60 times change

it would wake it up for sure, but keep in mind that you would need either a "thick" ring and pinion or have to change the carrier.

What are you using for Cylinder-Heads?

Yes, go with the 3.73:1 Gear-Set.
Unless you increased the Engines Compression-Ratio, and/ or your Cylinder-Heads are helping to produce some Low-RPM Torque...
The Car is going to be slow (at low Engine-Speeds) until you are getting into the higher RPM range.

So absolutely change the Gear-Set... and if using an Automatic-Transmission, invest in a higher Stall-Speed Torque-Converter (don't go with a cheap B&M or TCI, stock diameter TC).
