QuickPerformance Ford 9in

Currently thinking about going with QuickPerformance’s Ford 9in rear end. Anybody have any experience with them? Is it a Good product?

Yea man I have one I just pulled out of my 91 Z28. I'm using a hooker crossmember with a 4l80e. I had the rear end perfectly centered but once my torque arm went on after I cut the bracket to bolt up the inside bolts of the TA it would basically just rest right up against the tunnel. My 2 options were cut the floor and make the needed room or hammer the **** out of my tunnel to make it fit.

I didn't do any of those options, I actually chose option 3 and bought myself a Midwest Chassis Fab 9" housing and axle package with their 3rd gen specific mid length torque arm and crossmember. I quickly mocked it up in the car before heading to work last month and there's tons of clearance. I should've just went with Midwest Chassis the first time. Kinda sucks I had to do it twice but that's life I guess

Yea I'm sure it was great since those cars don't use a torque arm

Re: QuickPerformance Ford 9in

I got a QP 9" in my car.
Bolted in, with minor mods of course.
I did it about 11 years ago.
Ordered it with disc brakes and the torque arm mount and the fill bung.
So far so good!
Have 35 spline axles and been a best of 1.284 60ft.

I have one (4th gen width) with a Spohn torque arm and it fits great.

Did your rear come with that TA mount?? That looks just like the one Moser uses on theirs. Mine had tabs on the top and bottom of the housing and a stupid bracket that bolted on.

Re: QuickPerformance Ford 9in

Auto weld chassis.com is who I went with. They integrate the torque arm to the rear to give lots of adjustment and it hooks to the very top and bottom of the housing giving lots of clearance and a more straight line approach.
