Shopping for tranny cooler
Im going to order me one today from Jegs .I think my tranny is on its way out .Im hoping this will help pro-long it some .I found a perma cool that I like , which say's its made for high stall converters driven on the street .When my tranny does go out .I will have a high stall put in .....What does these numbers mean ? GVW 12000 ,GVW 24000, GVW 30000 and which one should I get ? ...Thanx !
I would recommend the B&M Super Cooler. It is actually manufactured under the TruCool name by Long Manufacturing and it is the best overall design out there. I would make a little suggestion though. Don't install it if you think your tranny is on the way out, OR replace it with another new one if and when your tranny does go. TruCool does NOT recomennd trying to clean it out and I wouldn't either. You don't want any contaminants in there when the new tranny goes in. I also prefer to bypass the radiator when I install these.
