T56 with Hyd Throwout bearing
I put an LT1 into my 86 Camaro, with a T56 transmission and a MCL 1400-22 hyd throwout bearing. The flywheel is a MCL 460360. It feels like the clutch is not fully disengaging. Is this a common set up, using a hyd throwout bearing to eliminate the push typ. TOB? I have adjusted the pedal to it's maximum. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: T56 with Hyd Throwout bearing
First, did the clutch work previously, or is it new? Did you torque it to spec? The LT1 T56 space is slim; I don't know if the 1400-22 fits without going to a shallower clutch/flywheel setup.
86 or 96 stock master is 3/4" and 86 pedal has more travel than 96. If you have 96 pedals, you can go to 86 for more throw. If you have 86 pedals you can go aftermarket master for more bore size.
Get the release spec for the PP. And volume requirement for the TOB. Does the master bore dia. x throw distance equal slave fluid requirement?
There are a lot of ways to approach, change, update, or fire the parts cannon. In the interest of resting on the shoulders of experts, *if* things come apart, take the flywheel, PP, and disc to a place that rebuilds truck clutches and brakes. They can say, "yes, this releases" on a tool. If it *does, you troubleshoot elsewhere. You have left info of a lot of variables on the table.
If you have had this issue since 2018 like your posts may indicate, it's time to get to work!

Re: T56 with Hyd Throwout bearing
JMD thanks for the response, sorry it so long to get back to this, my wife's to do list took my attention. Anyway, this is a new set up, I like the hyd. TOB and really want it to work. Everything is torqued to spec. ,and according to the suppliers it should work. The 3/4 bore on the MC and a 1" movement on the pedal will produce the required volume to release the clutch. I have verified the bore, verifying the movement (stroke) has been more difficult. Changing out the MC is my first choice, but I haven't found one that will work on an 86, with it's slanted position. If you know of a 7/8" or 1" bore MC that will fit into this 86, please let me know. I hate to go back to the "mechanical" set up but I am running out of ideas.
