t56 throw out bearing and hydraulics
i have looked alot for a throw out bearing for my t56 all i can find are the hydraulic ones that cost around $150, the regular ones comes in clutch kits but im just gona use the clutch and flywheel that i got with my transmission. my question is; is there someplace i can find a throw out bearing or are the hydrualic ones better for some reason that i dont know, since im converting from a t5 im gona need a new master/slave cylinder anyways so would somebody mind telling me what my options are and what the benefits and downsides are. thanks alot for any help

The throwout cannot be replaced separately in the LT1 system. It's part of the clutch. Made into it.
The hydraulic ones are for the LS1 setup. Won't work in the LT1 one.

im sory for not understanding competely. are you saying that i cant buy a throw out bearing that they only come in clutch kits or are you saying they are built into the clutch because when i look at it the fork looks like it would hold a regular bearing to ride up against the fingers of the pressure plate where there is also no bearing i dont understand how it can work with just the fork against the pressure plate

The LT1 T-56 clutch fork pulls on the throwout bearing, rather than pushing like most every other clutch. The bearing is part of the clutch as a result, not a separate piece.

Note how it's made into the clutch.

Actually, it's just garbage, if it's used; and especially if the bearing is gone. You can't use it for anything anyway, as you're finding now. Not alot of sense in hanging onto it, it's not good for anything.
