Re: lt1 t56

I have a stock replacement set from Rock Auto with 4th gen pedals and a center force dual friction clutch. Works well but the engagement point is higher than I would like it to be.

the attachment stud for the master cylinder attachment is closer to the top on the 4th fen pedals.

The LT1 clutches can be tricky if there is too much, or too little slave cylinder movement.

Stock 4th gen pedals, hydraulics and clutch are a good match, obviously.

Using 3rd gen pedals with 4th gen hydro and clutch gives a little firmer pedal. And shortening the master pushed is one thing to consider when fine tuning the pedal travel / height to work "well."

Good to know this. Guess i may stick with my 3rd gen pedal assembly and see how it works for now.

Re: lt1 t56

I used a stock 84-92 assy, pushed the roll pin out of the master, (the aluminum one that autozone sells/sold, not sure if they still sell it) and pushed the roll pin out of the smashed master that came with the T56 I got (slave was loosely attached to the bellhousing, it looks like the shipper dropped something on the master, possibly the transmission; trans, slave and line were fine)and re-connected the line to the 84-92 one and blead it, works great
