I have an 83 lg4 with 700r4 in my camaro. I want to get around a 2200-2400 stall converter, but can't find them anywhere. I've looked on B&M's website, and got a part # but I can't find the part anywhere. I've searched JEG's, summitracing, and some random sites through www.yahoo.com. All I find are converters for the 84-92 700r4. What gives? I realize I can't use the newer converters because it has a different number of splines, but does anybody know where I can find a 2200-2400 stall converter for my tranny? (I found one that TCI makes, but is a 12" converter and costs $360... a bit out of my range. Would the 12" converter even fit anyway?)

try ebay...enter 700r4 or stall converter in search on ebay motors...27 spline...should be able to find a 2000-2200 stall ( saturday night special) between $100-$200.
