1990 Firebird 4.10 to 3.27
Hey y'all I need some help. So I'm checking out a 1990 Firebird 305 TBI 5 speed to possibly purchase tomorrow, it seems to be in pretty good condition and he lists some changes he's made, I'm an absolute noob so the amount of googling and forum searching has been crazy. So now to my question, one of the changes he's made to the car is that he put in a 4.10 rear end from a Camaro SS. From my understanding 4.10 ratios are mainly good for streets and on the track but horrible on the highway and since I'm planning on some mixed driving I was thinking of going with a 3.23/3.27. How would I go about swapping that? As in what parts would I need? How expensive/difficult? Like I said I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so any info would be helpful.
