700R4 question: TV plunger behavior

My application is a small block 350 (vortec heads, Comp XE268 cam, Edelbrock 1406 carb. Carb has the Edelbrock TV corrector plate attached and TV bracket positions the cable horizontal and in-line with the TV cable stud on the carb. In other words, I feel like I have the bracket/geometry correct.

I am in the process of installing a 700R4. Before startup I had the pan off to try to ensure I was getting the TV cable adjusted correctly. After the WOT ratcheting out I was getting a slight amount of play between the TV lever/cam and the TV plunger. I noticed that the TV plunger did not fully extend when there was play between the lever and the plunger. I could move it further outward from the TV bushing and valve body. Is this normal? I took a short video to show in more detail. Hope this link works:

Thanks!

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: 700R4 question: TV plunger behavior

There's a bit of pressure on all the parts in there with the engine running, so that's pretty normal. The plunger will get pushed out in actual operation.

Re: 700R4 question: TV plunger behavior

What is shown in the Video does not concern me too much as long as the Spring-Pressure from that point then further Inwards...
Is nice and Firm.

If this is not the situation, report back...
A Firmer Spring may be required.

NOTE: Too Firm of a Spring will cause unwanted behavior/ problems.
