Can someone with a TPI 700r4 car please take a measurement for me?

From the TV cable bracket to the pin on the throttle linkage that the TV cable hooks up to.

I think the TV cable bracket on the Miniram I have is placed incorrectly, but I want to verify.

From the front side of the lower part of the bracket where the TV cable sleeve mounts to the center of the of the cable mount pin is 4 7/8 in. at closed throttle & WOT is 6 1/4.

ok here is a TV adjustment problem. I have adjusted my TV cable and it is close but not exact... It is shifting way too fast.. If I back off on the detent 1 notch it is very slow shift.. Just out of curiousity, I took it to a transmission expert shop and he says my TV throw isn't large enough. He tried to explain that the distance from Closed throttle to WOT should be 2 9/16 inches on a 700r4 transmission. I have checked the distance on a 91 Vette and 89 GTA and their's is 1 1/2 inches just like mine..

Question 1: was he referring to a 700r4 on a Carb setup ?
Question 2: Anyone have any reason why I can't dial mine in?
