Axle code that was hard to find.
Hi all,
Just some info that maybe helpful when searching for code numbers. I have been trying to find my axle code, 9JAC119 2, and I couldn't find it anywhere on the forums, or elsewhere on the internet. I found an, 8JA, which is a 3:08 ratio, and that's what I have, but my code didn't make sense, and it definitely starts with a 9.
So after more searching, I finally went to the GM heritage website , and found the media kit for my car, 1985 Z28, and it's listed there, so if you have a code that doesn't appear in the normal published lists, you may find it there. Hope this info helps
Cheers, Alicat. .
