Help with Tranny Fluid!!!
When I got my tranny rebuilt I forgot to tell the guy to use Mobil 1. Now, I've heard when you change your filter and fluid that there is still fluid in the converter. I couldn't just change the filter and fluid, add Mobil 1 with fluid still in the converter could I? How do I go about getting the fluid out of the converter?
Three choices as I see it:
1) Drain it, change the filter, add the Mobil1 and let it mix.
2) Take it to a place that offers reverse flushing and have them put in the Mobil1 (if they can..?).
3) Take the converter out and drain it. That requires almost removing the tranny, and you still won't be able to completely drain the converter (ever try to get the rainwater out of a tire swing? same concept).

Should be. Check the Mobil 1 package. If it says compatible with conventional oils, you're all set. I know the Mobil 1 motor oil is capable of being mixed but I've never looked at the tranny oil
