84 Z28 weird transmission leak help

I have a leak from a weird spot. See picture where the red circles are. I assumed these were just mounting holes that done intersect with the inner housing but Ive cleaned it several times and it keeps leaking. Is there a seal there or something else more troublesome. Thanks for help.

Are you sure it's coming from that spot and not just a bit forward and gathering where you're seeing it??

Yes. I’ve cleaned it and it keeps leaking from that spot. I haven’t driven it so I know it’s not getting blown back from another spot.

No seal for that. There may be a crack or other flaw in the casting that allows fluid to get in that bolt passage. Would be weird, but... who am I to be talking about "weird" anyway.

Best thing I can suggest is, loosen it up so you can move it over to the side a bit, put some silicone on the ends, and tighten the hardware back up. You can try finding another extension housing but those are relatively hard to come by; the only cars that used one like that, were these.

Thanks, thats what I was afraid of. I will triple check to make sure its not coming from somewhere else and then try to seal it up with some silicone.
