I am starting to get the annoying chirp chirp of a bad throwout bearing. Right now I have a hays 70-201 installed it lasted about 4 years. Any suggestions on a new brand or should I just stick with hays?
i dont have an answer but wanted to ask what your "steel support plate" for the t5 trans consists of...i have a nwc t5 and would like it to not grenade behind my vortec headed,l-82 cammed 305.i know its probably just a matter of time but would like options
I went steel after reading some stories about aluminum ones wearing funny. You also need a shim kit. I know the link says mustang, I called them and they set me up with a GM one/
One thing i noticed is centerforce may use a generic bearing that looks identical to other brands; as many brands. It is indicated by comparing the stamped multidigit model number in various photos. All look identical in stamping placement and font.
Not saying it is bad, or even correct But same bearing may be priced better elsewhere.
I am needing the same answer. I was about to order this: GM Genuine Parts CT24KVAL but wasn't sure if it was a good one or not. It's probably a Timken or National rebranded.
